Overview – Akshardham Temple (Swaminarayan Akshardham) is an celebrated classic hindu architectural style Temple which is one of the biggest in Delhi & India constructed by BAPS.

Temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan established in year 2005 ,commissioned by Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Structure embodies 234 beautifully  carved pillars,20 quadrangle spires,9 elaborate domes & nearly 20000 sculptures.

1.How to Reach? Location –NH 24 Akshardham  Setu

By Metro– Nearest  Metro Station Akshardham Metro

By Car– Through NH 24

 

2.Opening /Closing Timings Opening Timing-9:30am(last entry till 6:30pm)

Closing Timing-8.00pm (Closed on Monday)

Aarti timings-10:00am to 6:00pm

Exhibition Ticket Timings-10:00am to 7:00pm

 

3.Entry Fees(Temple) Adult-Free

Child-Free

 

4.Entry Fees(Exhibition) Adult-12 years & above-Rs 220/Senior Citizens 60 years & above-Rs 170

Child-(4-11 years )-Rs 120,Below 4 Years-Free

 

5.Entry Fees(Musical Fountain) Adults(12 years & above)- Rs 80

Child(4 -11 years)-Rs 50

8.Not Allowed Mobiles, Electronic items, photography is not allowed in premises.
9. Unique Facts ·Word Akshardham is derived from two words –Akshar meaning eternal & dham  meaning adobe

·It has total 10 welcome gates

· No Concrete or steel is used in construction.

3.Exhibitions ·  Sahajanand Darshan(Hall 1)-Duration 1hr,Language-Hindi & English(separate shows)-

It is known as Hall of values where different like nonviolence ,morality are shown through 3D Animation technology.

·Neelkanth Darshan(HALL 2)-Duration -40 minutes,Language –Hindi(although headphones for English commentary can be availed).-

film titled Neelkanth yatra is shown which displays story of Bhagwan Swaminarayan in his youthful days.

· Sanskruti Darshan(HALL 3)-Duration -15 minutes , Language –Hindi(although headphones for English commentary can be availed).-

In this show visitor sits in the boat goes through 10000 years of india’s heritage & culture eg Vedic Marketplace & Takshila University.

4.Garden of India It’s a beautiful garden sprawling 60 acres with bronze statues of great personalities.

 

5.Lotus Garden(Yogi Hriday Kamal) It has stones engraved with thoughts of eminent personalities.

 

6.Narayan Sarovar It has water body water of 151 holy rivers & lakes across India.

 

7.Musical Fountains(Sahaj Anand) Water show which is main attraction for children’s. This show narrates episode from Kena Upanishad via colored lasers, water jets & Video projections.

Duration-24 minutes

Language –Hindi

Timings-Starts in evening after sunset 7:45 PM. (Multiple shows are held during public holidays & weekends).

 

8.Premvati Aahargarh(Food Court)  

It’s a Vegetarian Food court inside Complex.

 

9.Books & Gift Center  

It’s a small Souvenir shop inside complex.
