Vrindavan situated on the bank of Yamuna river is a major pilgrimage center for Hindus. It is one of the oldest cities in country & is place where lord Krishna grew up.If you are planning a travel to vrindavan ,few travel tips could be useful & cheaper .

Hotels-There are many hotels and ashrams on main road for stay ,always go for ashrams as they are well equipped with modern amenities & food offered here is simple and one can eat as much one can.Cost per room for 2-3 people-Rs 800-900 (A/C)/600-700(Non A/C).Food per plate cost -Rs 100/-(Unlimited servings)
Travel- Always park your car at the hotel and use local transport or can walk also ,as sometimes place gets crowded.
Note-Always plan your travel to temples either early morning -5:30am to 12:00pm or in evening from 5:30pm to 8:30pm as most temples are closed except these hours.
Attractions-1)Prem Mandir-

Prem mandir is the temple of divine love, dedicated to Radha Krishna and Sita Ram. Situated on the outskirts of Vrindavan, this religious complex was shaped by Jagadguru Shri Kripaluji Maharaj in 2001.

This elegant looking temple is visited by a huge crowd of people everyday during the prayer time. It is considered as the most beautiful temple in the Brij area
There are statues of Lord Krishna and his devotees covering the temple, depicting the major events surrounding Lord Krishna’s life



If you are with your car then parking is available at Rs 50/-,suggested use local transport which costs Rs 10 /-.Temple is closed from 12:30 pm -4:30 pm .Suggestion visit in after-hours as you can witness coloured lightnings and bhog.
2)Banke Bihari Temple- This Temple is pretty much the face of Vrindavan tourism ,it is among the seven temples of the Thakur of Vrindavan. The temple dates back to 1864, when it was built by Swami Haridas. The temple is open between 7.45 am and 12 pm and 5.30 pm and 9.30 pm in the summer, and 8.45 am and 1pm, and 4.30 pm and 8.30 pm in the winter.


3)ISKCON Temple- This temple is completely white in color. You cannot miss it not only because of its color but also because it is the very first temple as a pilgrim/ visitor enters Vrindavan. You can spot several international devotees here.


4)Radha Damodar Temple– Here, there are numerous statues depicting the Lord Krishna. . One special sightseeing spot to look for is a small rock that contains the footprints of Krishna along with the hoof print of a cow.
